General Knowledge

In line with Bunda Mulia International School Secondary Department’s vision of promoting academic excellence and team building, the 3rd General Knowledge Quiz contest was conducted last 05 August 2011 and actively participated in by the secondary students.

The Red Dragons swiftly and confidently went through the easy, moderate and difficult rounds with 64 points that emerged them as the grand champion of the 3rd General knowledge Quiz Bee.

Receiving the first runner up was the Yellow Tigers, 58 points followed closely by the Green Falcons, 56 points, and Blue Sharks, 54 points for the second runner up and third runner up respectively.

Before the contest proper, the words of welcome and inspirational message were given by Ms. Usha Ramachandran, BMIS Principal while the contest rules and mechanics was presented by Mr. Joseph Alcantara. Mr. Derick Cruz, secondary department coordinator,  Mr. Steven Ramsey, Ms. Katrina Francesca, and  Mr. Nitin Thakur acted as the chairman and members of the board of judges. The members of the Working Committee were Mr. Alcantara, Mr. Roberto Sanguyo Jr. who also acted as the emcee and Mr. John Vincent Abad as the quiz bee master.

Mr. Aldo Feraldo, a Y11 student, showed his talents in singing and playing guitar, wowed the crowd with his intermission number, “Billionaire” popularized by Bruno Mars and “Price Tag” by Jessie J.

“Congratulations for all your contributions to the fantastic General Knowledge Quiz. It was truly amazing and was a great boost to the school community. “We really appreciate the dedication everyone showed, and the hours invested to make this a huge success.” Mr. Cruz said.

The General Knowledge Quiz  is an annual project of the BMIS secondary department that aims to foster the spirit of healthy competition among secondary students  through a friendly quiz game. It also aims to  recognize students with inherent scientific skills and knowledge specifically in General Information. Finally, it aims to promote social interaction and the concept of whole-being among students & the general public
