Math & Science Week

Maths and Science week has never been this fun! That was the message conveyed by Year 1 to Year 5 students during the school’s annual Maths and Science Week which was held 27 February – 2 March, 2012.

The demonstrations, interactive experiments and displays related to Maths and Science offered students the necessary support to visualise and understand abstract theoretical concepts. Students also had the opportunity to have fun while learning more about Maths and Science. With projects about Salt Crystal, Warm Air Needs More Room, and Baking Soda and Vinegar Volcano, the week can’t be anything other than interesting. You can even make egg floats in water.

This year, students, by house, again compete in their favorite Maths and Science Quiz Bee. Here, they experience Maths and Science learning in a fun way. And, in addition to all this, there were also fascinating Essay Writing (with the theme: A Greener Planet through Maths and Science) and Mental Maths Competitons, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader Quiz and Parents Workshop on Teaching Kids Maths using Model Method.
